Emirates Introduces EMI Option for Indian Flyers: Here’s How You Can Book International Tickets Without Paying the Full Fare Upfront
Indian travellers can now book Emirates flights using easy monthly instalments of up to 36 months, making overseas travel more affordable during peak holiday seasons.
New Delhi: International travel has become a little easier for Indian passengers. Emirates has announced a new Equated Monthly Instalment (EMI) payment option that allows customers in India to purchase flight tickets through flexible monthly payments instead of paying the entire fare upfront.
The initiative is aimed at reducing the financial burden on travellers, especially during periods when international airfares typically surge, such as school vacations, Onam, Christmas, and Ramadan.
With the new facility, eligible customers can convert their ticket purchases into EMIs ranging from 3 months to 36 months, making international trips more accessible for families, students, and frequent flyers.
Who Can Avail the EMI Facility?
The EMI option is available to Indian customers booking tickets directly through the Emirates official website.

- Axis Bank
- Kotak Mahindra Bank
- HSBC
- IndusInd Bank
- Bank of Baroda
- IDBI Bank
- RBL Bank
- Standard Chartered
- Yes Bank
Customers can choose a repayment tenure that best suits their financial needs, subject to their bank’s EMI eligibility and applicable terms.
Travel to More Than 140 Global Destinations
The airline said Indian passengers can use the EMI payment option while booking flights to over 140 destinations served by Emirates across six continents.
Whether travelling for family reunions, higher education, business, tourism or festive holidays, customers can now spread the ticket cost over several months instead of making a one-time payment.
Relief During Peak Travel Seasons
Airfares often witness a sharp increase during festive periods and school holidays due to high demand. Many expatriate families living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and other countries frequently travel to India during these seasons, making ticket prices a significant expense.

The new EMI option is expected to provide greater financial flexibility, allowing passengers to plan trips without delaying travel because of high upfront costs.
Industry experts believe flexible payment options are becoming increasingly important as airlines seek to improve customer convenience while encouraging advance bookings.
A Customer-Friendly Move
With international travel demand continuing to rise, Emirates’ latest initiative is designed to simplify the booking process and make premium global connectivity more affordable for Indian travellers.
For passengers planning vacations, family visits or business trips, the ability to split airfare into manageable monthly instalments could make overseas travel significantly easier without putting immediate pressure on household budgets.
