Range Rover GT unveiled in first official preview: Luxury SUV gets coupe styling, futuristic cabin… here’s what to expect

Range Rover has officially teased the highly anticipated Range Rover GT, confirming it as the fifth model in the brand’s premium SUV portfolio. Designed as a luxury grand tourer (GT), the upcoming vehicle combines elegant styling, advanced technology and the off-road capability that has long defined the Range Rover name.

The company has confirmed that the production version will make its global debut later this year, while prototype models are currently undergoing final validation testing in multiple locations around the world.

A fresh design with a coupe-inspired silhouette

Unlike the traditional upright proportions of existing Range Rover SUVs, the new Range Rover GT adopts a lower, sportier stance with a flowing coupe-inspired roofline.

Although the test vehicles remain camouflaged, the preview clearly highlights a more aerodynamic profile aimed at delivering improved on-road dynamics without compromising the versatility expected from a luxury SUV.

According to the company, the GT has been developed as a modern interpretation of the classic grand touring concept, promising exceptional long-distance comfort along with effortless performance.

Minimalist cabin with next-generation technology

For the first time, Range Rover has also revealed images of the GT’s interior before its official unveiling.

The cabin embraces a clean and minimalist design, featuring a redesigned dashboard with integrated technology that keeps physical clutter to a minimum.

A large central touchscreen serves as the primary control hub, complemented by a fully digital driver display. The dashboard also features a concealed full-width air vent, creating a sleek horizontal layout inspired by contemporary luxury interiors.

The company says new tactile materials and premium finishes have been introduced to further elevate the cabin experience.

Luxury grand tourer with everyday versatility

Rather than positioning the GT as a high-performance SUV, Range Rover is marketing it as a refined luxury grand tourer built for long-distance travel.

The automaker says the vehicle has been engineered to deliver a smooth and composed driving experience on the road while continuing to offer the all-terrain capability that customers associate with the Range Rover badge.

Prototype vehicles are currently undergoing extensive testing before the final production model is revealed.

More details expected later this year

At this stage, Range Rover has not announced the GT’s powertrain options, performance figures, pricing or launch timeline for individual markets.

Once launched, the Range Rover GT will join the brand’s growing lineup alongside the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, Range Rover Velar, and Range Rover Evoque, further expanding its presence in the global luxury SUV segment.

More technical details are expected to be revealed during the model’s official global debut later this year.
