Maruti Suzuki Dzire Gets Costlier: Price Hiked Up to ₹7,500 — Here’s the Full Updated List

The country’s largest carmaker Maruti Suzuki has quietly revised prices of its best-selling compact sedan, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, making it slightly more expensive for buyers in 2026.

The Dzire, which also emerged as India’s highest-selling car in FY25, has received a price hike of up to ₹7,500 across select variants. While the entry-level LXI variant remains unchanged, most other trims have become costlier.

Which variants got expensive?

According to the revised pricing structure, the biggest increase has been applied to the VXI CNG and ZXI CNG variants.

VXI CNG: ₹7,500 increase → ₹8.10 lakh (ex-showroom)
ZXI CNG: ₹7,500 increase → ₹9.11 lakh (ex-showroom)

Petrol variants have seen a relatively smaller revision of around ₹5,000.

Dzire VXI – ₹7.22 lakh
Dzire ZXI – ₹8.22 lakh

With this revision, the Dzire continues to remain one of the most competitively priced sedans in its segment despite the upward adjustment.

Mechanically, the Dzire continues to be powered by Maruti’s 1.2-litre Z-Series 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering:

82 hp power
112 Nm torque

Buyers can still choose between a 5-speed manual gearbox and a 5-speed AMT unit, along with a factory-fitted CNG option.

Mileage figures remain a strong selling point:

While the increase is not steep, it comes at a time when the automotive industry is witnessing gradual price revisions due to rising input costs and regulatory updates.

However, the Dzire’s strong mileage, safety credentials, and feature list continue to keep it one of the most value-driven sedans in the Indian market.

For now, the Dzire remains a familiar favourite—just a little more expensive than before.
