Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra Leak Hints at Massive Battery Upgrade, New Camera Tech and Premium Price Tag… Here’s What We Know
The next-generation Samsung flagship could arrive with a 200MP camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, silicon-carbon battery technology, and up to seven years of software support.
Samsung may be preparing one of its most ambitious flagship smartphones yet. Fresh leaks surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra suggest that the company is planning significant upgrades across key areas, including battery life, camera performance, processing power, and charging technology.
While the device is not expected to launch before 2027, early reports have already sparked excitement among smartphone enthusiasts eager to see what Samsung’s next Ultra-branded flagship could offer.
Bigger and Brighter Display Expected
According to leaked information, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could feature a large 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The screen is also tipped to deliver peak brightness levels of up to 3,000 nits, making it one of the brightest smartphone displays in Samsung’s lineup.
On the software front, the handset is expected to run Android 17 alongside Samsung’s One UI 9.0 interface. Samsung may continue its long-term software strategy by offering up to seven years of operating system and security updates.
Snapdragon Powerhouse Under the Hood
Performance is likely to be driven by Qualcomm next-generation Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset, which is reportedly being developed using an advanced 2nm manufacturing process. If the leaks prove accurate, the chipset could bring notable gains in efficiency, AI processing, and overall performance.
The smartphone is expected to be available with 12GB and 16GB LPDDR6 RAM options, while storage could go up to a massive 1TB, catering to power users and content creators.
Camera System Could Receive Major Overhaul
Photography may be one of the biggest highlights of the Galaxy S27 Ultra. Reports indicate that Samsung could replace the existing 3x telephoto camera with a more advanced 5x periscope telephoto lens, improving zoom capabilities and image quality.
The flagship is also expected to feature a 200MP primary camera with enhanced HDR performance. Meanwhile, the ultra-wide sensor could be upgraded to 50MP, offering sharper and more detailed shots. Selfie enthusiasts may also see improvements, with the front-facing camera reportedly increasing to 24MP.
These upgrades suggest Samsung is focusing heavily on maintaining its position among the world’s leading smartphone camera brands.

Battery Upgrade May Be the Biggest Surprise
One of the most talked-about leaks involves the battery. Samsung is reportedly exploring high-density silicon-carbon battery technology, a feature that has recently gained attention across the smartphone industry for delivering larger battery capacities without increasing device thickness.
The Galaxy S27 Ultra could pack a battery between 5,500mAh and 6,000mAh, representing a significant jump from previous generations. Such an upgrade could translate into longer screen-on time and improved endurance for demanding users.
The device is also tipped to support 65W wired charging and 25W Qi2 magnetic wireless charging, enabling faster and more convenient charging experiences.
Expected India Price and Launch Timeline
Although Samsung has not officially confirmed the smartphone, industry reports suggest the Galaxy S27 Ultra may launch in 2027. In India, the base variant featuring 12GB RAM and 256GB storage is expected to be priced between ₹1,39,999 and ₹1,45,990.
If these leaks turn out to be accurate, Samsung’s upcoming flagship could become one of the most feature-packed premium smartphones available in the market.
Take Leaks with Caution
As with all pre-launch reports, the details surrounding the Galaxy S27 Ultra remain unofficial. Samsung has yet to reveal any specifications or launch plans for the device. Consumers should treat the leaked information cautiously until the company makes an official announcement.
However, if the reported upgrades become reality, the Galaxy S27 Ultra could set a new benchmark for flagship Android smartphones in the coming years.
