Hyundai Unveils Limited-Edition i20 N Shadow Edition; Only 100 Units to Be Produced
The performance-focused Hyundai i20 N gets exclusive styling upgrades, bronze alloy wheels, and bespoke interior touches as the brand celebrates one of its most exciting hot hatchbacks.
Hyundai has introduced a special farewell-style edition of its popular performance hatchback, the i20 N Shadow Edition, for the Australian market. Limited to just 100 units worldwide, the exclusive model brings unique cosmetic enhancements while retaining the thrilling performance credentials that have made the i20 N a favorite among driving enthusiasts.
The launch comes shortly after Hyundai revealed the latest-generation i20 in Brazil, which is expected to reach additional international markets in the near future. However, it remains unclear whether the next-generation model will receive a dedicated N-badged performance variant.
A Rare Collector’s Edition
Unlike Hyundai’s N Line models, which primarily focus on sporty styling, vehicles carrying the full N badge are engineered with performance as their core priority. The i20 N Shadow Edition continues this tradition while adding a layer of exclusivity through limited production and bespoke design elements.
With only 100 examples planned, the Shadow Edition is expected to appeal strongly to collectors and enthusiasts who appreciate Hyundai’s growing performance legacy.
Same Powerful Engine, Same Exciting Performance
Mechanically, the Shadow Edition remains unchanged from the standard i20 N.
Power comes from the familiar 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine, producing 204 horsepower and 275 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed manual transmission, sending power exclusively to the front wheels.
According to Hyundai, the hot hatch can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.7 seconds, while its top speed is rated at 230 km/h.
The performance-focused setup continues to include a mechanical limited-slip differential (e-LSD), launch control, rev-matching technology, and a variable exhaust system designed to enhance the driving experience.
Exclusive Exterior Enhancements
The biggest changes appear on the outside.
The Shadow Edition receives distinctive 18-inch forged alloy wheels finished in an eye-catching matte bronze shade, complemented by black center caps. Hyundai has also added matching bronze decals along the lower door sections to create a more aggressive visual identity.

- Sportier front and rear bumpers
- Signature red exterior accents
- Rear roof spoiler
- Oval exhaust outlet
- Performance-oriented body kit

Inside the cabin, Hyundai has introduced several unique elements to distinguish the Shadow Edition from the standard model.

A Fitting Tribute to the i20 N
The Hyundai i20 N has earned a reputation as one of the most entertaining hot hatchbacks in its segment, blending everyday practicality with impressive performance credentials.
With the arrival of the Shadow Edition, Hyundai is offering enthusiasts a final opportunity to own a more exclusive version of the celebrated hatchback.
While the future of the i20 N remains uncertain as Hyundai transitions to its next-generation model lineup, the Shadow Edition serves as a fitting tribute to a car that has played a key role in strengthening the brand’s performance-focused N division.
