Prem Keetanu Box Office Day 4: Veer Pahariya’s Film Crashes 64%, Monday Collection Drops to Just Rs 10 Lakh

Veer Pahariya-starrer Prem Keetanu reportedly collected just Rs 10 lakh on Day 4, taking its four-day India net total to around Rs 1.21 crore.

Veer Pahariya’s Prem Keetanu is finding it increasingly difficult to attract audiences at the box office. After arriving in theatres on October 2, 2026, the film failed to maintain its weekend momentum and witnessed another sharp decline on Monday.

The romantic comedy, which is a Hindi remake of the 2024 Malayalam hit Premalu, is also facing competition from Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion, adding further pressure on its theatrical run.

Prem Keetanu earns just Rs 10 lakh on Day 4

According to early estimates reported by box-office tracker Sacnilk, Prem Keetanu collected approximately Rs 10 lakh net in India on Monday, its fourth day in theatres.

The figure reportedly came from around 685 shows across the country.

The Monday collection represents a substantial 64.3% decline compared with Sunday. On Day 3, the film had reportedly earned around Rs 28 lakh.

Such a steep first-Monday drop is a worrying sign for the film, particularly because weekday performance often determines whether a modestly budgeted release can sustain itself beyond its opening weekend.

Four-day collection reaches Rs 1.21 crore

After four days at the box office, Prem Keetanu has accumulated an estimated Rs 1.21 crore net in India.

Its gross collection in the domestic market is reported to be approximately Rs 1.45 crore.

The film has reportedly been produced on a budget of around Rs 3 crore. If that estimate is accurate, its theatrical earnings remain below its reported production cost after the opening four days.

However, a film’s eventual profitability cannot be determined from domestic box-office collections alone, as digital, satellite, music and other rights can also contribute to overall revenues.

Can Prem Keetanu recover during weekdays?

The biggest challenge for Prem Keetanu now is maintaining enough footfall through the remainder of its first week.

A Rs 10 lakh Monday following an already modest opening weekend leaves the film with little room for further declines. Tuesday and Wednesday collections will therefore be important in indicating whether the movie can stabilise or whether its theatrical run will lose further momentum.

Competition is another hurdle.

Ajay Devgn’s Drishyam: The Conclusion is competing for audiences and screens, making the situation more challenging for a smaller release such as Prem Keetanu.

Hindi remake of Malayalam hit Premalu

Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki and written by Deepak Kingrani, Prem Keetanu is the Hindi adaptation of the successful 2024 Malayalam romantic comedy Premalu.

The film stars Veer Pahariya, Aafiya Sayed, Aparshakti Khurana, Nikhil Vijay and Rakesh Bedi in prominent roles.

Its story revolves around young friends dealing with love, heartbreak, family expectations and career struggles while trying to figure out their lives as they step into adulthood.

The movie attempts to retain the youthful humour and relationship dynamics that helped make its Malayalam counterpart popular.

Reviews offer some praise, but box office remains weak

While the film’s commercial performance has remained underwhelming, critical reception has included some positive notes.

News18 Showsha awarded Prem Keetanu 3 out of 5 stars, praising elements including the performances and relatable nature of its young characters, while pointing out that the soundtrack sometimes interrupts the narrative.

The review also observed that the movie works better when it allows its protagonists to behave like imperfect young adults rather than treating their problems too seriously.

For Veer Pahariya and the makers, however, the immediate focus will be on the numbers.

With just around Rs 1.21 crore net collected in four days and Monday bringing in an estimated Rs 10 lakh, Prem Keetanu now needs an unexpectedly strong hold during the weekdays to change the direction of its box-office journey.
