England pacer Jofra Archer has named KL Rahul — not Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma — as the toughest batter he has faced in the IPL, praising his ability to dominate every area of the ground.
England fast bowler Jofra Archer has made a surprising revelation about the toughest batter he has ever bowled to in the Indian Premier League (IPL) — and it’s not Virat Kohli or Rohit Sharma.
Instead, Archer picked KL Rahul, crediting the stylish Indian batter for making life extremely difficult during their early IPL battles.
The revelation came during an appearance on The Super Over Show with former West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, where Archer was asked to identify the most challenging batter he has faced in his career.
Without much hesitation, the England pacer named Rahul.
“Probably KL Rahul in the first few years of the IPL. He was in his prime then, and it felt like he could hit any ball anywhere. He was really hard to bowl to,” Archer said.
The statement has sparked plenty of discussion among cricket fans, especially given Archer’s experience against some of the game’s biggest superstars.
Over the years, Archer has bowled to elite names like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, AB de Villiers, Jos Buttler, and David Warner, making his choice of Rahul even more noteworthy.
