Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey has crossed ₹140 crore at the Indian box office while its worldwide collections have raced past $650 million in just two weeks.

Christopher Nolan’s ambitious mythological epic The Odyssey continues to dominate the box office in India, even as the film experienced the expected weekday slowdown on its second Monday. Despite the dip in collections, the Hollywood blockbuster has comfortably crossed the ₹140 crore mark in India, reinforcing its position as one of the biggest international releases of 2026.

After an impressive second weekend, the film earned an estimated ₹4.6 crore net on Day 11, taking its total domestic collection to approximately ₹140.3 crore net across all languages.

Monday slowdown fails to dent momentum

Like most theatrical releases, The Odyssey witnessed a drop in collections after a strong weekend performance. The film had enjoyed another excellent Saturday and Sunday, with both days registering double-digit earnings before settling into normal weekday trends.

Although Monday’s numbers were lower, trade analysts believe the decline was expected and does little to affect the film’s overall box office trajectory.

One of India’s biggest Hollywood hits of 2026

The film has emerged as one of the highest-grossing Hollywood releases in India this year, drawing strong footfalls across multiplexes and premium cinema formats.

Large-format screenings, particularly IMAX, continue to contribute significantly to the film’s collections, with audiences opting to experience Christopher Nolan’s visually grand storytelling on the biggest screens available.

Global box office continues to shatter records

The success story isn’t limited to India. Internationally, The Odyssey has maintained a remarkable pace, collecting an estimated $652 million worldwide within just two weeks of release.

The film has earned approximately $286 million in North America, while international markets have contributed over $353 million, making it one of the biggest global blockbusters of the year.

Adding to its achievements, the epic also delivered the strongest second weekend of Christopher Nolan’s career in North America, registering only a modest decline from its opening weekend.

Star-studded cast powers the epic

Based on Homer’s timeless Greek poem, The Odyssey features an ensemble cast led by Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Zendaya, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Charlize Theron, and Samantha Morton.

The film combines breathtaking visuals, large-scale action sequences, and emotionally driven storytelling, earning praise from both critics and moviegoers worldwide.

₹150 crore milestone now within reach

With no major Hollywood releases arriving immediately to challenge its theatrical run, The Odyssey is expected to maintain stable collections during the weekdays.

If the current trend continues and word-of-mouth remains strong, industry experts believe the film could comfortably surpass the ₹150 crore net mark in India over the next few days, adding another milestone to its already impressive box office journey.
